Hi Everyone, this is my recipe and I would similar to add that you could easily employ more cornstarch depending on how thick you prefer the sauce. Likewise, using drained diced canned tomatoes instead of fresh works very well in this recipe besides.

We all enjoyed this very much. I did brand a couple of small changes. I didn't have alot of soy sauce, so I put in half of what it chosen for. Didn't take whatsoever tomatoes so I left them out. Cooked for about 4 hours and information technology was done. The meat was extremly tender. Would add more than meat side by side time.

This is expert and the flavors come up together nicely. I used depression sodium broth and soy sauce and served over chocolate-brown rice for a healthy and colorful dinner.

This gets more than than v stars from my family unit. I was loved past all. I bought 2 chuck steaks on auction at Target to make the stew meat. Used a fresh pineapple & low sodium beef broth. Only had a dark-green pepper, but this rocks! Husband said next fourth dimension add mushrooms. I did leave out the love apple, the remainder of the family isn't fond of them. This recipe volition exist in the rotation from now on!

my family (including me) did not dearest this :( nosotros didn't even salvage the leftovers. I recollect the pinapple overtook everything else. Maybe would be better with chicken instead of beef?? I won't be making information technology again... oh well

It tastes great, looks wonderful and is easy to prepare and clean up after, what more than could y'all want? I used canned diced tomatoes because I didn't accept enough fresh ones. Too used up the tin of beefiness broth to melt the rice in.

Information technology looked pretty and smelled good simply it was tasteless. I made it with rice and warm french staff of life. Anybody said how good the breadstuff was. I got the hint!

I did not like this at all. I'grand not a fan of putting pineapple in food other than dessert, but thought I'd try information technology. It tasted besides sour. Since this price me over $20 to brand tho, I'1000 going to pick out the pineapple, & try to add more ingred. to change the season.

This is the second time I've made this and it is delicious! I have used the stew meat once and London Broil once, both work great. I didn't find this bland at all only I did add some things. I used 4 cloves minced garlic instead of the pulverisation. I browned my meat first in some olive oil with chopped onions, Worcestershire sauce, crushed red pepper flakes and 1 tsp of seasoned salt (and then omitting the 3/4 teaspoon in the recipe) and fresh ground black pepper. Added that to the pot and followed the instructions also adding in some fresh minced ginger root , which is then wonderful with pineapple.I upped the paprika to i teaspoon and added more black pepper. When it was time to add the bong pepper, I added in the tomatoes also(ii big Romas peeled).Served over jasmine rice and added Sriracha at the tabular array. Thank you for posting this easy and delicious recipe that can easily be adapted to your taste preferences. A pleasing family meal! :)

This was very easy and not bad for a weeknight meal. I did still feel there was non much season to this recipe. I will not add this to my rotation simply may endeavour it one more time adding a few more incredients to spurce upwards the sense of taste. Hopefully that volition bring it back into my monthly meal rotation.

I made this today in my tiresome cooker. I followed the recipe every bit written. The beef was delicious merely the rest of it was a petty bland. I take added additional common salt and blackness pepper to what is remaining. Maybe that will help. I served it over rice.

First-class! Everyone enjoyed this! The but modify I fabricated was leaving out the peppers (due to an allergy in the family, simply I would like to try information technology with them another time!). I might add a niggling more than stock adjacent time too.

Made this for dinner yesterday, but cut it down to 3 servings as there is simply the two of usa. Followed the recipe exactly except that I did not have whatsoever cherry wine vinegar so substituted Creamy Sherry vino in it'south identify and that turned out fine. Likewise chopped the onion and used canned diced tomatoes. Will be makeing again. Cheers Cat Lady

Although this smelled wonderful while it was cooking, as with almost slow cooker recipes, I felt the flavors were a fleck mild when it was done. I bumped it upwardly with more vinegar, carbohydrate and some ketchup and that seemed to help. Thanks for the recipe.
08/10/2010
Super easy and flavorful. Not a bad weeknight meal. My hubby and I spiced ours upwardly at the table with a lilliputian Sriracha.

This is very skilful and simple to fix. I modified the recipe slightly. I added chunks of fresh roma tomatoes an hour alee of serving time along with peppers. I also used the residual of the beefiness broth for liquid to melt the rice.

This was a great dish! My whole family loved it...really enjoyed the sweet and sour flavors of this meal. two mini changes .....outset was to use a london broil instead of stew meat. The other change was to apply a can of petite diced tomatoes instead of the fresh as suggested by True cat Lady herself. I originally was going to make this with chicken ...simply glad to have tried the beef....great combo of flavors. Thanks!

Not bad flavor! Has a sweetness with a kick! Yum!
06/04/2012
This was the best beefiness stew I've ever had! I did add carrots and potatoes, and instead of seasoned salt, I used Hawaiian Bounding main Salt. So good! This is going to be in my rotation for sure! To the person who said this had no flavor, peradventure your paprika is outdated? Also the cherry-red wine vinegar is a must! You cannot sub another and go the same season!

Makes a huge pot of nutrient and is fairly easy. I followed the directions to a T and information technology smelled delicious while cooking all afternoon. I would non utilize stew meat adjacent time - it was very tender merely tasteless and this might've just been the batch I bought. Also was slightly bland so needs a little more spice for us. Otherwise enjoyable and would try it over again with some tweaking.

This is a delicious, hearty stew with lots of flavour. This is my third time making it every bit now it's a favorite. Easy to make with elementary ingredients. Flexible to your similar. Being a "meat guy" I added a Tbsp of Worcestershire sauce and it's great!
04/17/2011
Succulent and easy. This ane is a keeper. :)
07/13/2015
This dish was and then flavorful and and so elementary to make. I added Worcestershire Sauce and carmine pepper flakes and I omitted the tomatoes considering neither me nor my hubby likes them!!! I served information technology over creamy garlic mashed potatoes, my husband couldn't go enough! Not sure how anyone tin say this was bland just for me, this will exist going into my rotation!!!
06/21/2017
It reminded me of pepper steak with the add-on of pineapple...yum. The adjacent time I volition decrease the brown saccharide to 2 T and increase the soy sauce and red wine vinegar by 1 T each. I likewise might add some ginger.

I pressure cooked this repast. I did step 1, sealed it up and pressure cooked it for 35 mins on high (this was in an electric cooker). I depressureized, then followed stride 2 and put it back on for x mins. I added about 3 times the amount of corn starch than it called for -- and it was still a scrap thin. It came out great and I would practise it again!
11/11/2018
Added a little crushed cerise pepper and Worcester sauce when cooking the beef for a little kick. Used more cornstarch for thicker sauce. Will definitely be making this once again!
05/31/2018
Pretty easy to make and tasty!
03/ten/2013
We liked this well enough, just it was surprisingly bland. Nosotros served over brown rice. I liked all the veggies in there, but I'yard not sure I'll brand information technology again.
01/21/2016
This was bang-up, though I would recommend adding a bay leaf to the crock pot before yous begin cooking. It helps soak in the flavors and evens things out. We used egg noodles instead of rice and added more colored peppers. It went over really well! Might be even amend with chicken and chicken goop, and a footling less soy sauce.

it was really good & a nice change from the usual stew meat kind of foods.
06/01/2016
Very tasty, particularly with the pineapples. I substituted artichokes hearts instead of peppers and those needed more an hour. I used canned diced tomatoes and that worked great. love this and will several it again, might try adding garbanzos side by side time.
08/13/2012
This was so yummy! I was looking for crockpot meals we could freeze, then I took all of the ingredients (except rice) and dissever betwixt two gallon freezer bags. I thawed i pocketbook terminal night, and information technology cooked all day and is so delicious! I was worried the pineapple wouldn't still be sweetness but it was. The beef got a little dry, simply that is my fault we got dwelling later than usual! A definite keeper.

This was pretty proficient but simply lacked a little something? I don't know what. But I'd be happy to eat it and make it again-- it's merely skillful merely not astounding. I only used one onion, and I added a yellow bell pepper. Substituted coconut sugar for the brown sugar. Otherwise followed the recipe.
06/14/2016
OK...I made this, only after reading several reviews that said it was bland or had no flavour, I did make some changes. Information technology was admittedly delicious! I coated the beef in flour, ginger, table salt and pepper and seared it off in a cast fe skillet with a fiddling oil. I halved the recipe since information technology'southward only my husband and me. I used i/2 red and one/2 yellow pepper, onion and garlic as called for. I used Hungarian Paprika for a piffling kick. I also added a piddling ginger zing sauce that I had forth with a little chip more beefiness stock. Since my husband and I like pineapple, I used the whole tin (fifty-fifty though I halved everything else). I also added a few shakes of hot sauce with habaneros. We similar spice. I added the tomatoes the same time I added the peppers. I as well think I used a tiny fleck more than red wine vinegar than it chosen for. I think that'due south it. It was smashing, and I volition make information technology again, and I'd make it for company!
